Structured Cabling : Test Equipment

All the cabling installations will need to be tested for both completing a new job and troubleshooting an existing installation. There are various test equipment that do a variety of Cable Test Equipment.They range from a low end cable or pair identifier to a high end cable certification tester. The testers are used for checking continuity, pair configuration, pair/cable identification, various parameters such insertion loss, return loss, near-end cross talk loss, delay skew and many others. Some basic testers will be part of every installer / technician’s tool kit, whereas the high end certification tester may be required at least one per site.
