Structured Cabling : Patch Cord

Patch cord also known as equipment cord is used to connect the end equipment to the telecommunications outlet/connector at the work area and for interconnection and cross-connection at ERs, TRs and data centers. The patch / equipment cords are designed to provide easy routing changes. 
The equipment cords have the modular plugs on both ends and are factory assembled and tested. The patch cords are available in CAT 6A, 6, and 5e, UTP or shielded, and a variety of lengths and colors.

A new type of secure patch cord offers lockable cords for sensitive applications.
